Our sock fit guide
Not sure which socks to pick? Our guide walks you through height, cushioning and size, with tips for sneakers, boots and Pilates.
Start with your shoes
Want the sock hidden inside your sneaker, or a cuff you can pull above a boot? Our no-show socks sit low, ankle socks reach around the ankle, and crews come farther up your leg. The shape of your shoe makes a difference, too.
| Height | Wear with | Browse |
|---|---|---|
| No show | Low-top sneakers, loafers and shoes where you want the sock tucked away. | No-show socks ↗ |
| Ankle | Running and training shoes when you want a little coverage at the heel. | Ankle socks ↗ |
| Crew | Boots and sneakers, or any outfit where you want the cuff to show. | Crew socks ↗ |
Think about cushioning
A light pair leaves more room in a close-fitting shoe. If you like padding underfoot, look at our running, walking and work socks. Check the heel details as well as the sole: some pairs have a heel tab or extra reinforcement.
For Pilates and barre, we have ankle and crew socks with silicone dots beneath the foot. Those dots can help with traction on some surfaces, but you still need to take care on slippery floors.
Check the size on each pair
Use your shoe size as a starting point. Our size ranges differ by style, so check the chart on Amazon for the pair you want, particularly if you fall between sizes. Check the pack count again after choosing a color or size.
Have a favorite fabric?
You’ll find the blend on each product page. Our socks don’t all use the same yarns or knit: some have mesh, arch support or silicone grips. Check the fabric and care details for your chosen color and size before ordering.
